Employment Based Immigration
Ready to Help You Reach Your Employment Goals in the U.S.
Immigrants are an integral part of the U.S. workforce. In fact, approximately 140,000 employment-based immigrant visas are issued every year. However, obtaining an employment-based visa is an arduous task with many legal steps to take and a significant amount of paperwork to file, which is why it is imperative to hire an experienced immigration attorney.
At Diamondback Legal, we help both employers looking to sponsor an immigrant worker and immigrants who wish to obtain an employment-based visa to work in the United States. Our Phoenix employment immigration lawyer knows the importance of maximizing opportunities and minimizing risks within a business, which is why we can help companies reach their business goals and immigrants achieve the American dream.
H-1B Visas
The H-1B visa gives foreign professionals an opportunity to work in the United States and allows employers to hire qualified immigrants on a temporary basis for specialty occupations (e.g. engineers, researchers, medical professionals, professors, attorneys, accountants, etc.), which require a bachelor’s degree or advanced level of education certification. Every fiscal year, there is a cap of 65,000 visas, but if a prospective immigrant worker has a master’s degree or higher, then they are exempt from this cap if it is filed among the first 20,000 petitions.
E-2 Visas
The E-2 investor visa enables foreign entrepreneurs to build their own business in the United States. In order to qualify for this employment-based visa, you have interested or actively invest a substantial amount of capital in a bona fide enterprise in the United States, and be interested in entering the U.S. to only build and direct the investment enterprise.
